Prudential Life Insurance Ghana has been named CIIG CSR Company of the Year in Life Insurance, in recognition of its sustained investment in people, communities, society, and the environment.
The award highlights the company’s commitment to going beyond insurance to create meaningful social impact. Guided by its purpose to be partners for every life and protectors for every future, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana continues to support initiatives that promote health, education, financial literacy, environmental sustainability, and community development.
Last year, the company reinvested approximately one percent of its revenue into corporate social responsibility programmes. These include the Mangrove Restoration Project in Obane, Ada; the Cha-Ching Financial Literacy Programme for schoolchildren; the PRU Climate Action Project; healthcare support through the PRUCares Valentine Experience; donations of recycled plastic desks to schools; skills training for vulnerable young women; staff volunteering; EV Transition programme and support for STEM education through the National Science and Maths Quiz and Prudential Actuarial Support Scheme (PASS) Awards.
Through these interventions, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana is helping restore wetlands, improve sanitation, promote responsible money habits among young learners, relieve vulnerable families of healthcare burdens, and create opportunities for young people to build better futures.
The recognition by CIIG affirms Prudential Life Insurance Ghana’s position as a purpose-led insurer committed to responsible business and inclusive growth. It also reinforces the company’s belief that business success must be measured not only by financial performance, but also by the positive difference made in the lives of people and communities.
By investing in people, society, and the environment, Prudential Life Insurance Ghana continues to demonstrate that it is more than an insurer. It is a partner in progress and a protector of futures, helping to build healthier, more financially resilient, and more sustainable communities.
