Prudential Life Insurance Ghana recognizes how integral Actuarial Science is to the insurance industry. Over a decade ago, we launched The Prudential Actuarial Support Scheme (PASS), a scholarship scheme designed to build actuarial capacity in Ghana.
Over 130 beneficiaries from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, the University of Cape Coast and the University of Development Studies have benefited from this scheme over the last 10 years. This is a demonstration of our long-term commitment to supporting education and developing the next generation of actuarial professionals.
We are proud to recognize five outstanding actuarial science students from CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, part of the 2024 graduating cohort whose graduation was deferred last year. The beneficiaries – Daniel Logolam Atidebana, Priscilla Anyama, Emmanuel Achinkok, Rita Eshun and Kwasi Ametodzi – were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.
“Our approach to sustainability is at the core of our purpose: For Every Life, For Every Future” said the Head, Sustainability at Prudential Life Insurance Ghana. “We are committed to supporting the next generation of actuarial professionals through the Prudential Actuarial Support Scheme (PASS). We hope that these beneficiaries will become worthy ambassadors and make a positive impact on their future careers.”
This support gives each of the beneficiaries the Ghana cedis equivalent of $500 and a certificate for their academic excellence. They also get sponsored to write their professional certificate either from the UK or US. Additionally, they can intern with Prudential as they prepare for the world of work.
At Prudential Life Insurance Ghana, we remain committed to supporting education and developing the next generation of leaders in Ghana.
