Our initiatives in Ghana are focused on making a tangible impact through financial inclusion, environmental conservation, health promotion, and community development.

Why Sustainability?

At Prudential, our sustainability efforts are driven by three key pillars: Simple and Accessible Health and Financial Protection, Responsible Investment, and Sustainable Business.

Our initiatives in Ghana are focused on making a tangible impact through financial inclusion, environmental conservation, health promotion, and community development.

1. Simple And Accessible Health And Financial Protection

The objective is clear: to make health and financial protection accessible to everyone. We’re achieving this by forging partnerships, embracing digital innovation for better health outcomes, and fostering resilient communities.

In our efforts to build resilient communities, we engage in a variety of CSR activities, including supporting Akosombo flood victims, our Covid-relief fund projects with UNFPA and United Way Ghana, PASS, Chaching, SafeSteps, organizing events like Pruride and Pru Vals Day, and participating in initiatives such as blood donation drives, beach and market cleanups.

Additionally, our Prudent Sika Sukuu Financial Literacy program equips students in our Universities as well as regular traders in our markets with the knowledge needed to secure their financial future.

Furthermore, we’re committed to delivering partnerships and digital innovation to enhance health outcomes. Through health awareness campaigns on social media platforms, we address crucial topics such as mental health, heart health, and pulmonary health, ensuring that vital health information reaches a wide audience.

Together, through these initiatives, we’re making strides towards a future where everyone has access to the health and financial protection they need, fostering healthier, more resilient communities along the way.

2. Responsible Investing

Our objective is straightforward: to achieve our Net Zero 2050 goal by engaging and financing our markets for a just and inclusive transition. We’re committed to decarbonising our portfolio as part of this effort. Through responsible investing, we’re driving positive change towards a sustainable future where everyone benefits.

3. Sustainable Business

Our objective is clear: to operate as a sustainable business that positively impacts both our people and stakeholders every day. We achieve this by empowering our employees to become sustainability changemakers and by leveraging thought leadership to shape the agenda for a better future. Through these efforts, we’re driving meaningful change and making a lasting impact on our world.
